Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. –James 5:16
The power of prayer in our lives, both for those praying and for those being prayed for, is a significant part of our religious experience. With this in mind, our mission is to bring together the faithful to share in prayer for those in need. Prayer is a way to claim control of the trials and confusions that dot our day-to-day lives; it gives us the power to face our struggles with faith and confidence that God will provide for us.
Jesus tells us that prayers needn’t be verbose or eloquent just to be heard by God (Matthew 6:7-8); prayer, more than anything else, is just about communicating with God, and we can all communicate with him in our own ways.
Our Prayer Chain consists of a group of people who pray on a daily basis for those whom requests have been made. Requests for prayers are put into one of eight categories; there are prayers for healing, confinement, guidance of the Holy Spirit, the military, safe travel, the departed, special intentions, and thanksgiving. Emergency requests may be made at any time by contacting any member of the chain who will pass it on via the phone chain to all other members.
