Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises unto our King, sing praises! –Psalms 47:6
Our Choral Eucharist utilizes a number of approaches to worship, but perhaps the most dynamic and uplifting is the use of music. Music plays an important role in the spiritual lives of many of our members, who believe it often has a power to convey our thoughts and feelings and love for Christ far more effectively than words alone. This is thanks to our wonderful choir, led by James Springer and our organist Terri Jones.
Our choir is a small group, but what they lack in numbers, they make up for with undeniable talent and dedication. Most all of our parishioners that attend the 10:15 Choral Eucharist do so to hear the choir help elevate our worship to a greater level, and join in their songs.
The choir ministers in song at the second worship service of each Sunday and all major feast days. Choir practice is on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. We’re always looking for new ideas and new members, so if you can provide either of these, please don’t hesitate to contact Jim Springer or Terri Jones.
